TAPIOCA THURSDAY is a weekly contest for all Brush Up readers. It encourages writers to become more creative with their work by using the “Ingredients of the Week” in their own original way. The “Tapioca of the Week,” which is used as the sticking agent, is, of course, the main ingredient.
Why “Tapioca?”
Tapioca, a beady starch obtained from the root of Cassava, has long been used as a thickening or sticking agent. It is what holds delicious desserts together. In Tapioca Thursday, we use the tapioca to hold our story together and bake a read that everyone will surely love.
Guidelines:
1. Every Wednesday, 12 Midnight (or earlier), we will post the “Ingredients of the Week” with the “tapioca” as the main ingredient.
2. The Participants will use these to bake a new story
3. They may keep or remove minor ingredients BUT NOT the tapioca.
4. Participants have until 12 midnight, Thursday to post a comment below containing the word “PARTICIPANT.” In addition to that, they should also submit a link to their work (/blog) using Mister Linky. (See the icon below.)
5. Winners (1st-3rd Place) will be announced next Thursday along with the new ingredients.
*Note: Brush Up observes UTC/GMT -4 (UTC in Santo Domingo). For everyone’s convenience, posted below is a link to a clock, which shows the current time on Brush Up. (Make sure the time on your computer / laptop is correct.)
Good Luck!
